WIND IN THE WILLOWS

Postby sixteenfeet » Wed Jul 15, 2015 3:44 pm

After a hugely successful run of Alice in Wonderland last year, Sixteenfeet Productions is set to return to Streatham Rookery with its unique brand of open-air theatre. The Rookery is to become the stage for its acclaimed show- Wind in the Willows, an evergreen classic by Kenneth Grahame adapted by Andrew S. Walsh.

Who didn't fall in love with Wind in the Willows as a child? A quintessentially English tale which is full of high jinks, adventure and camaraderie. It boasts an array of truly unforgettable characters, including the impulsive Toad; good-natured Mole; wise Ratty; and reclusive Badger. And, this summer, Sixteenfeet invites you to join the lovable group of friends as it gives the story a contemporary twist.

Commissioned by Sixteenfeet Productions from local writer Andrew S. Walsh with music by Streatham-based composer Guy Holden this promenade theatre will encourage the audience to explore the beautiful setting of Streatham Rookery in order to watch the story unfold, ably led by a talented cast of actor-musicians.
